Hearing the Music

Reimagined Performances
In a series of concerts at historic sites, we delved into the historical record to stage concerts drawing on evidence of historical performance practice to bring colonial concerts to life. The concerts were staged on Gadigal Country at some of the sites of first contact around what became Sydney Harbour – Warrane (Sydney Cove), Woccanmagully (Farm Cove) and Tubowgule (Bennelong Pt). We explored the Country and the historic buildings constructed on it – Sydney Conservatorium of Music (formerly stables for Government House), Elizabeth Bay House and Government House.
